Symantec and Toshiba to Offer Norton 360 and Norton Internet Security to Laptop Customers


CUPERTINO, Calif. – July 16, 2008 – Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), makers of Norton security software, today announced that Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division and Toshiba of Canada Limited will include Norton 360 or Norton Internet Security 2008 on all of its laptop computers. Toshiba will offer a full-featured complimentary 60-day introductory subscription of Norton security software in English, Spanish and French to its laptop customers in North and South America.

Norton Internet Security 2008 is a complete security solution that runs quietly in the background to detect and block today’s complex online threats. Norton 360 combines complete security with online and local backup, as well as tune-up in an easy to use all-in-one solution. Both Norton solutions include spyware and identity protection which protects consumers when they buy, bank, or browse online.

Norton 360 or Norton Internet Security will ship on all Toshiba laptop models including Satellite®, Satellite Pro®, Tecra®, Qosmio® and Portégé® in North and South America, with the exception of Brazil.

This is the eighth time that ISM has selected FrontRange for its Top 15 Award list.
